The REACH program will be discontinued effective December 31, 2009. Beginning on Friday, October 30th, Renaissance mailed letters to all active participants in the REACH Program advising them of the discontinuation and options for continuing on towards the path of home ownership.
All active employees working for a private employer must close on their home by December 31st in order to receive REACH funds. If the employee cannot make this deadline, he/she has the option to transfers into the MyHome MyCoast (MHMC) Program. The transfer into this program is not automatic. The employee must call the toll free number indicated in the letter to request a transfer before the December 31, 2009 deadline.
All active employees who received a REACH scholarship due to working for a public sector employer must have an executed sales contract and property address notification submitted to Renaissance by December 31st in order to receive the scholarship and REACH funds. If the employee cannot make this deadline, he/she has the option of transferring into the MyHome MyCoast (MHMC) Program. The scholarship award will not be available for use in the MHMC Program.
